Tomorrow, Thursday February 17 is National Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Day.
Let kindness be one of your default superpowers. It may seem like it doesn’t accomplish much, but every small act of kindness is significant. Don’t hold back from uplifting others with compliments and compassion. One act of kindness can lead to more positive outcomes.
Studies have shown that kindness is undoubtedly an inherent part of nature, with feelings of care developing in humans while they’re still babies.
I remember one day having lunch at Red Robin when I noticed two young girls counting out their change on the table. It was clear that the older sister (about 9 years old) was treating her younger sibling to lunch. They were so happy to have enough for cheeseburgers, fries and chocolate shakes. Their joy reminded me of my own two sweet daughters.
As we left, I went over to the cashier and paid for the young girl’s lunch. Smiling, she said,
“That’s very nice of you, who should I say it’s from?”
“Just say it’s compliments of a proud father.”
One kind act can change someone’s entire day. Share your kindness superpower and never doubt that small caring gestures can change the world.
