This original song was inspired by the 80+ year old man who wasn’t allowed inside of the nursing home because of social distancing so he sang to his wife from outside, through the window.
A MILLION SONGS
Words and music© by Keith Canedo
Looking through the window, that’s what I was allowed
I still sang to you baby
Just not inside a crowd
I promised you a million songs, a gift for you each day
I’ll sing to you a million songs
Until we fly away, until we fly away
In olden days when we were young, we made our plans together
Melted by those baby blues
We’d be in love forever
I promised you a million songs, a gift for you each day
I’ll sing to you a million songs
Until we fly away, until we fly away
It came from out of nowhere, a force we didn’t see
Infections of the world
That took you away from me
Now I’m at the window, only memories apart
Through my tears I’m still singing
You’re forever in my heart
I promised you a million songs, a gift for you each day
I’ll still sing to you a million songs
Until I fly away, until I fly away
