Journalism is the first rough draft of history–Phil Graham, former publisher and owner of the Washington Post.
How will history reflect the leadership or lack thereof of the 45th US President and his shameful governmental enablers. His zero experience in public service and blatant indifference is clearly showing as he flounders from one disaster to another.
Civil unrest, racial injustice, millions unemployed and up to 157,887 US deaths surge as an uncaring President (that places political gain over the welfare of its citizens), fiddles while Rome burns. With one thousand Americans dying everyday Trump responds to the 4,850,114 US coronavirus cases with “I think it’s under control” and the deaths with “It is what it is”.
I’ll be sure to relay those reassuring compassionate words, “It is what it is” to my family members that are suffering with the virus. And they, along with the 328.2 million fellow citizens should take comfort that the President of the United States thinks it’s under control.
Whew. . . and I was worried.
