Monday, the United States surpassed 500,000 known coronavirus deaths. Although the US makes up only 4.25 percent of the global population, it accounts for 20 percent of the world’s covid deaths.

More Americans have died from Covid-19 than did on the battlefields of World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War combined. Today, about one in 670 Americans has died of Covid-19.

“It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.” -President Trump Feb. 27 2020

Trump reassured Americans that Covid-19 was only a hoax. One of his many infamous legacies that remain to be overcome.

We, the friends and family of those lost American souls have Trump to thank for our unimaginable loss and sadness. His shameful lack of compassion and leadership during this pandemic is a first rough draft of history and how he will always be remembered by the world. Specifically, by the descendants of the first 500,000.
