Life is mysterious. No sooner did my eldest daughter Micaela move from LA back to Seattle, now her little sister Kelsey is moving to New York. It’s only for an extended temporary assignment, and Lord knows I’ve had my share (Dutch Harbor, Montreal, Prudhoe Bay, Siberia and many places in between). I am so proud of both of my girls as I watch them grow into beautiful young ladies and embark on their butterfly phase, to countless new and exciting adventures. Being an old dad, I now realize how they must have felt when I left for mine but am consoled by the memory of how elated we all were when I returned home. Hurry home K-rod!
Yesterday a child came out to wonder
Caught a dragonfly inside a jar
Fearful when the sky was full of thunder
And tearful at the falling of a star. . .
