One time I missed my flight but was able to catch a red-eye from Seattle to Anchorage. Still in a bad mood, I gazed out from the window seat 15F and had an epiphany. Before me was a view of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) in all its shimmering glory, like a floating glowing beacon in the dark starlit sky. A loving message from the Creator of the Universe that even with all its disappointments it’s still a beautiful world. It’s not the collisions between gaseous particles in the earth’s atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun’s atmosphere that amazed me, but because of a missed flight, I had the good fortune to catch a glimpse of Heaven.
